Board of Commissioners
Representing You in Improving Flood Protection
The Board of Commissioners is a 9 member body appointed by the Governor of Louisiana based on nominations from the Louisiana House District 54 Representative, the Louisiana Senate District 20 Senator, Lafourche Parish Government, the Town of Golden Meadow, and the Greater Lafourche Port Commission. The Board of Commissioners collectively guides the major activities and projects undertaken by the South Lafourche Levee District Staff.
Board Meetings are typically held the 2nd Monday of each month at 3 pm in the Board Meeting Room of the South Lafourche Levee District main office. Meetings are open to the public and are aired on REV TV Channel 5. All meeting videos are available to stream on REV TV's YouTube page.
