As General Manager of the South Lafourche Levee District, Nic Matherne provides a wealth of knowledge and experience from both public and private sector project management.  His past experience includes 7 years serving as Coastal Restoration Director for both Lafourche Parish Government and Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, advocating for project funding, managing project execution, and directing parish-level coastal regulatory efforts.  He also has 8 years of project management experience in the private sector, having managed enginering & design efforts for levees and pump stations for multiple Parishes and Levee Districts, and has also served as an in-house Project Management contractor for the US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District.
